On November 4th, 2009 Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. commencedproduction of 150 000 t/a C5 separation unit.C5 is byproduct of ethylene production, and C5 separation unit can producea series of fine chemical raw materials such as isopentadiene,metapentadiene and dicyclopentadiene.
