对6×4型汽车底盘而言,推力杆是传递纵向驱动力的重要元件。汽车行驶过程中,其中桥、推力杆和后桥都围绕一个固定在车架上的平衡转动中心上下摆动,因此要求推力杆两端与车桥、车架的连接必须采用铰接方式。目前,国产车均为球销、球座结构。这种结构既可较好地传递纵向驱动力,又能消除因加工因素而造成的安装误差,从而保证汽车的正常行驶。但是,这种结构从设计、使用的角度分析,还有如下不足之处:(1)球销、球座零件的加工工艺过程
