福建事变在中国现代史上占有一定的地位,它是在全国抗日反蒋的高潮形势下发动的,在国内外都有一定的影响。事变发生在1933年11月至1934年初,国民党第十九路军在陈铭枢、蔡廷锴、蒋光鼐等人的领导下,联合国民党内李济深等反蒋势力,停止与红军的敌对行动,公开宣布抗日反蒋,在福州成立了中华共和国,即福建人民革命政府。这一事件被人们称为“福建事变”。参与这一事件的地方人士中,时年75岁的海军耆宿萨镇冰特别引人注目。
The Fujian Incident occupies a certain position in the modern history of China.
