中国古代艺术的精华——明代西域“水陆佛像画”(公元1368-1644年),起源于宋朝的一种水陆法会绘画,盛行于明代,反映天上的佛、神鬼和人间民俗三个题材,称之为天地合一的“水陆画”。由于绘制精美,年代久远,存世量极少,故“水陆画”都封存在故宫和极少数的中国西部博物馆,被定为国家一级文物。据不完全统计,中国西部“水陆佛像画”的珍品流失民间和海外的数量不会超过二十件。所以,能收藏一幅国家级文物——西部“水陆佛像画”是可遇不可求的缘份。
