朱志瑜在《林译副文本研究:爱国还是爱文学?》一文中提出“林纾不谈翻译”和“林纾既爱国又爱文学,但他翻译的目的却是出于对文学的热爱”的观点。本文是与朱志瑜一文的商榷。通过对林纾译作序跋的统计和分析,提出:1)林纾藉由序跋谈论翻译,但多关涉翻译目的;2)爱国与文学是林译序跋的两大主题,二者交织,但听其言辨其行,前者更重;3)译作序跋注解原作,更注解译者,林译序跋尤其如此。
Zhu Zhiyu put forward “Lin Shu talk about translation” and “Lin Shu both patriotic and love literature” in his article “The Translation of Patriarchal Literature: Patriotic or Loving Literature?”, But his purpose of translation is out of literature Love "point of view. This article is a discussion with Zhu Zhiyu. Through the statistics and analysis of the prefaces and postscripts of Lin Shu’s translations, it is proposed that: 1) Lin Shu’s translation is mainly by prefaces and postscripts, but most are concerned with the purpose of translation; 2) Patriotism and literature are the two major themes of Lin’s prefaces and postscripts. Distinguished his line, the former heavier; 3) translated as prelude annotations original, more annotated translator, especially the case of Lin translation sequence postscript.
