微小卫星体DNA是人类基因组中大量而随机出现的简单序列的串联重复,由于长度常短于100bp,插在具有单一序列的DNA内,故能用PCR方法体外扩增。由于串联重复的数目不同,可显示多态性。这种多态性足以稳定地用于遗传分析。
Micro-satellite DNA is a series of large numbers of random sequences in the human genome that occur in tandem. Random repeats, which are shorter than 100 bp in length, are inserted into DNA with a single sequence and therefore can be amplified in vitro by PCR. Polymorphism can be displayed due to the number of tandem repeats. This polymorphism is sufficient for stable genetic analysis.
