The inter-cultural cooperation study conducted by the Center for Childhood Mental Health at the National Taiwan University and the United States and Japan found the following interesting comparative figures. These figures are all linked to social factors such as the impact on a youth’s independence and cooperation. 1. American students have 178 days of classes a year, 240 days in Taiwan and Japan. 2. American students take 31 hours a week, at least 44 hours in Taiwan and Japan. 3. Taiwan students in school time, 90% of teachers with a study or study; Japanese students 70%; American students even less than 50%. 4.
