There seems to be no doubt in the library community how to read the CLC number. Philosophical classes are read as B [b?] Classes by both staff members and readers, and aerospace classes are read as V [Vi:] classes, which are habitually spoken in English alphabets. However, the “CLC” “Preparation Instructions” is clearly written: “This table uses a combination of Hanyu Pinyin letters and Arabic numerals.” Does this mean that people do not read Chinese Pinyin as the standard of “compilation instructions” or do they still have to be further discussed? We know that the function of Hanyu pinyin is “to phoneticize and spell Putonghua phonetically,” or as “ A tool to study Putonghua speech ”or as“ a representative language in writing. ”
