In Europe, where the volume of diesel vehicles is rapidly growing, particulate emissions from diesel vehicles have brought significant pollution. According to the EU’s new standard, each cubic meter of air contained in the particulate matter can not exceed 50ppm, non-compliance of the situation within a year can not exceed 35 days. In order to reach this standard, most EU member states have to implement traffic control, restrict the passage of vehicles on certain roads for a limited time or forbidding, limit the speed of vehicles and require all diesel vehicles to be equipped with particle traps in the future. According to the EU officials responsible for environmental protection recently revealed that the European annual emissions of diesel vehicles caused the death of 310,000 Europeans to the West, 65,000 people in Germany alone each year as a victim of diesel emissions.
