莫顿·H·米勒,美国金融经济学家,中业干哈佛大学,曾任美国财政部顾问、美国余融协会会长,现任美同芝加哥大学研究生院教授。他长期从事金融问题研究,并因创立公司金融理论而荣获1990年诺贝尔经济学奖。 1996年7月,米勒先生来广州参加“广州金融与企业改革研讨会”,并获聘担任广州市人民政府决策咨询顾问团顾问,会议期间接受了本刊记者专访。
Morton H. Miller, a U.S. financial economist and a former chairman of Harvard University, served as a consultant to the U.S. Department of the Treasury and president of the American Institute of Finance and Trade. He is currently a professor at the Graduate School of the University of Chicago. He has long been involved in financial issues research and won the 1990 Nobel Prize in economics for his corporate finance theory. In July 1996, Mr. Miller came to Guangzhou to attend the “Seminar on Financial and Enterprise Reform in Guangzhou” and was hired as adviser to the decision-making consultant group of Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government. During the meeting, he interviewed our correspondents.
