From June 22 to June 29, 2004, the General Planning and Design Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydropower of the Ministry of Water Resources held a meeting in Beijing to study the feasibility study on “the main channel of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Phase I Project (Yellow River North to Zhanghe River)” (hereinafter referred to as " Feasibility study report). Leaders, experts and representatives attended the design report of Henan Province Water Conservancy Survey and Design Institute, conducted a serious review on the feasibility study report, and basically agreed with the feasibility study report. The Yellow River North ~ Zhanghe South Drainage Channel is the fourth Drainage Channel of the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The south reaches the end of the Yellow River Diversion Project and passes through 12 cities of Jiaozuo, Xinxiang, Hebi and Anyang.
