政治民主化是现代化的核心内容之一。自19世纪独立以来,拉美国家在政治现代化进程中进行了长期的探索,先后经历了考迪罗独裁统治、寡头威权主义、民众威权主义、官僚威权主义,直至现代民主政治等多种模式。拉美国家的政治现代化进程历时久远,艰难曲折,为其他发展中国家提供了极为丰富的研究素材和宝贵的经验教训。尽管国内学者对拉美现代化进程曾做了一些研究,但拉美政治现代化的研究仍是一个薄弱环节。2013
Political democratization is one of the core contents of modernization. Since the independence of the 19th century, the Latin American countries have conducted a long-term exploration in the process of political modernization. They have successively gone through various models such as the constitutional autocracy of Codyllo, oligarchy, popular authoritarianism, bureaucratic authoritarianism and modern democratic politics. The process of political modernization in Latin American countries lasted far and wide and the twists and turns were difficult, providing extremely rich research materials and valuable lessons for other developing countries. Although domestic scholars have done some research on the process of Latin American modernization, Latin American political modernization is still a weak link. 2013
