Alignment systems for missile strapdown inertial measurement devices are suitable for applications where inertial measurement devices (IMUs) do not have self-alignment. This alignment system does not require a mechanical connection between the fingertip and the inertial measurement device. In order to avoid the expense of fingering a Northrophone, there is no need to connect with the inertial measurement device before launching. This solution has a manual without automatic ability, it uses the laser contact, rather than manual vision contact. The north pointing device and the laser system are well-set on the launcher and are therefore not consumed with the missiles.
