机械科技是现代科学技术和工业发展的重要基础。一方面,现代科学技术的发展对机械科技不断地提出新课题;另一方面,机械科技本身的发展也必须依赖于其它科技的进步。与计算机和信息技术相联系的自动化、智能化,与其它学科相联系的综合交叉以及系统化、集成化是机械科技发展的三个明显特征。智能机器人、微型机械、计算机集成制造系统和智能制造系统是这些特征的最新体现。
Mechanical technology is an important foundation for modern science and technology and industrial development. On the one hand, the development of modern science and technology constantly puts forward new topics for mechanical technology; on the other hand, the development of mechanical technology itself must depend on the progress of other science and technology. Automation, intelligence, and cross-linking with other disciplines related to computer and information technology, as well as systematization and integration, are the three distinguishing features of the development of mechanical technology. Intelligent robots, micromechanics, computer integrated manufacturing systems and intelligent manufacturing systems are the latest examples of these features.
