什么是曲意?我以为是指一出戏通过它的一系列艺术形象——尤其是主要艺术形象所表达的或深或浅的思想内涵。关于《牡丹亭》的曲意,汤显祖本人已有提示,作者在《牡丹亭·题词》中就说过:
