8月20日,中共中央政治局召开会议,审议并通过《关于党的基层组织实行党务公开的意见》。中共中央总书记胡锦涛主持会议。会议指出,党内民主是党的生命,党务公开是党内民主的重要内容。党的基层组织实行党务公开,是深入贯彻落实科学发展观、提高党的执政能力、保持和发展党的先进性的必然要求,是扩大党内基层民主、保障党员民主权利、增强党的基层组织生机活力的客观需要,是实践党的宗旨、密切党群关系、促进基层和谐稳定的有效途径,是加强党内监督、规范权力运行、推进基层党风廉政建设的重要举措。
On August 20, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held a meeting to review and approve the Opinions on Implementing the Party’s Openness in the Grass-roots Organization of the Party. CPC Central Committee General Secretary Hu Jintao presided over the meeting.
