我们设计团体的全称为“杭州典尚建筑装饰设计有限公司”(杭州典尚设计工作室).为何称“典尚”,许多热心和好奇的朋友向我讨个说法.我想诸如“兴隆”、“恒达”、“荣昌”等名称也未尝不可,吉祥、昌盛、寓意亦相当积极,且读来琅琅上口.其实,立“典尚”为名除了有顾名思义典雅、时尚以外,更确切的用意在于英文的Design(设计)与“典尚”同音.经与同事们反复斟酌,一致认为设计创意乃设计之灵魂,唯有探求和创新才是我们设计工作者的使命,故名谓“典尚”以作自勉.
