国务院副总理曾培炎7月1日主持召开会议,对全国地质灾害防治工作作出部署。他指出,汛期是地质灾害多发季节,各级政府要按照立党为公、执政为民的要求,采取有效措施,坚持标本兼治,搞好群测群防,进一步加强防灾减灾工作。要把三峡库区作为地质灾害防治的重中之重,切实维护人民群众的生命财产安全。 Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan chaired a meeting on July 1 to make arrangements for the prevention and control of geological disasters in the country. He pointed out that the flood season is a period of frequent geological disasters. Governments at all levels should take effective measures in accordance with the requirements of establishing the party for the public and governing for the people. They should adhere to the principle of tackling both the symptoms and the root cause and do a good job of group measurement and prevention and further strengthen disaster prevention and reduction. The Three Gorges Reservoir Area should be taken as the top priority in the prevention and control of geological disasters and the people’s lives and property should be effectively protected.
