意大利当局蕴酿卫生部门的一项改革,以减轻财政预算上的压力,为全体人民提供较好的医疗服务和减少制度中的浪费.创立于1978年的国家卫生服务制度尽管在医疗方面的公共开支与其他国家比较并不很高,但对提供的差的医疗服务的批评越来越多.意大利的医疗制度在很大程度上受国家的干预,由不完全的市场机制与社会关注来激励,原则是允许全体公民平等地获得医疗.在没有重新考虑提供基本的公共卫生服务种类的情况下去大量削减费用是不现实的,但应尽量扩大每个单位的公共卫生服务质量.
The Italian authorities have engendered a reform in the health sector to reduce pressure on the budget, provide better medical services for the entire population and reduce waste in the system.
