1990年,美国麻省理工学院斯隆管理学院的彼得·圣吉在其著作《第五项修炼——学习型组织的艺术与实务》一书中,最先提出了“学习型企业”的概念。学习型企业是指有意识地激励、培养整个企业的学习气氛,充分发挥职工的创造性思维能力,建设适应外界变化、能持续发展的企业;是通过系统思考、建立共同愿景、团队学习、自我超越和改善心智模式等“五项修炼”而成为具有“持久的优势”,比竞争对手“学习得更快”的成功企业。
