近年来,由于干旱少雨,加之受周边区域开发楼盘基坑排水影响,降低了地下水位,使原本靠地下水作为补充水源的龙源湖湖水面临着干涸局面,为了从根本上解决龙源湖水源问题,通过工程措施,使地表水首次进入龙源湖,待龙源湖充满水后,溢出的湖水将重新进入黑河,再经新河流入大沙河,进入规划中的东湖,实现区域地表水的循环利用,从而彻底解决龙源湖补水难的问题。实现了焦作市城市水系建设内部大循环,外部大连通目标。使龙源湖又恢复到10年前碧波荡漾、飞鸟成群的美丽景象,同时在引水工程规划设计中,首次将液压升降坝应用在焦作市城市水系建设中,已成为焦作市一道亮丽的风景线。对于北方城市河湖治理而言,具有一定的指导和实践意义。
