如果以汉语撰写的社会科学论文要在美国心理协会(ApA)主办的刊物或者采用APA格式的其他英文学刊上发表,该论文就得翻译成英语,而且英译稿件还必须符合当前版本的APA格式。APA格式的内容几乎包括了从论文撰写到投稿发表的全部过程,本讨论只涉及其中的文内引证中的直接引用和文后参考文献单的规范问题。文内引证中的直接引用包括串入式文字引用和单列式文字引用;文后参考文献单的格式主要涉及责任者的名称、责任说明、时间、文献题名和出版信息。关于文内直接引用,建议在存在对应英语原文的条件下,一定要找出引语的英语原文,在不存在对应英语译文的条件下,译者最好把直接引用转换为间接引用。关于文后参考文献单,建议译者要把非拉丁字母文字的作者姓名翻译成拉丁字母姓名,根据实际责任而不是字面意思著录作者责任,把非英语作品的题名翻译成英语题名。
If a social science paper written in Chinese is to be published in a publication sponsored by the American Psychological Association (ApA) or in other English-language journals in the APA format, the essay will have to be translated into English and the English-language translation must also comply with the current version of the APA format. The contents of the APA format cover almost the whole process from the writing of a manuscript to the posting of a manuscript. This discussion deals only with the direct quotation in the intra-citation and the canonical reference of the manuscript. Citation in quotations includes in-quoted and in-line references; the format of the reference list after the text mainly refers to the name of the responsible person, the statement of responsibility, the time, the title of the document, and the published information. With regard to the direct reference in the text, it is suggested that under the condition that the corresponding original English text exists, the English original text of the quotation must be found out. Under the condition that there is no corresponding English translation, the translator preferably converts the direct reference into an indirect reference. On the reference list, it is suggested that the translator should translate the names of non-Latin alphabet authors into Latin alphabet names, assign the authors responsibility according to their actual responsibilities instead of their literal meaning, and translate the titles of non-English works into English titles.
