百色地区的千果、德保、靖西、田东、田阳等县1990年起试验推广使用江苏省铜山县农药厂生产的玉米种衣剂,至1992年全地区累计推广使用面积达1.8万亩,均收到防治苗期虫害,提高出苗率、增加产量的效果。例如。调杏平果、田阳、靖西等地的试验点,使用种衣剂的玉米出苗率分别为93.4％、99.2％和88.0％,而对照区的出苗率只70.2％、82.5％和37.6％。又如田东县印茶乡僚昆村大僚屯防治小地老虎的效果为72.3％;靖西县农科所防治黑毛虫效果为51.7％。防治粘虫的效果为61.5％;平果县太平乡袍烈村调查对蝼蛄的防效为52.5％;德保县农科所对玉米螟的防效为76.4％。
