In recent years, there has been growing interest in researching into language learning strategiceMany researchers and their works highlight the importance of the out - of - class strategies employed voluntarily by learners outside the language classroom . In spite of the interest in this area, there is comparatively little data on the precise nature of this kind of learning activity. This article follows up briefly some ofthe literature on out - of- class strategies It Proceeds with a stndy of Engish Corner, Which is a characteristic type of out - of- class activisy for oral practice in Chinese EFL Settings. Its several features arediscussed, Implicotion of the findings for language learning and teaching are suggested, and the articleconcluded with the proposal of more influential and heuristic out - of - clas activities, including the existing Engish Corner.
