In many years of practice both at home and abroad, the hardest part to solve is the low-permeability coal seam. Although many efforts have been made in recent decades, it has had little success. For such a coal seam, the exclusion of a large amount of gas gushing out of the mining still has to rely mainly on mine ventilation. According to our rough estimation, such problems in our country involve at least 20 mining bureaus and more than 30 pairs of mines. Therefore, we think that the problem of gas drainage in lower gas permeability coal seam is a universal and urgent issue.
