英语课本中有不少单词或词组意义相近,但具体用法却大不同,下面撷取分析几组同学们经常会遇到的单词或词组。1.little/a little,few/a few(1)little与a little只修饰不可数名词,而few与a few只修饰可数名词。(2)little与few表示半否定,表示“几乎没有”的意思,而a little与a few表示肯定,意为“有一点”。例如:There is little bread in the fridge.We have to buy some.冰箱里几乎没有面包了,我们必须去买一些。
There are many words or phrases in English textbooks that have similar meanings, but the specific usage is very different. The following is a sample of words or phrases that students often encounter when analyzing several groups of words. 1.little / a little, few / a few (1) little and a little only modify uncountable nouns, and few and a few only countable nouns. (2) Little and few represent semi-negative, meaning “almost none”, and a little and a few affirmative, meaning “a little bit.” For example: There is little bread in the fridge. We have to buy some. There is almost no bread in the refrigerator, and we have to buy some.
