神经干细胞是当今神经科学领域研究的热点。神经干细胞具有自我更新、未分化和多分化潜能的特性。随着从细胞水平、分子水平对神经干细胞的深入研究而发展起来的基因治疗和细胞移植疗法在治疗脑缺血、神经系统退行性疾病等方面的成效,使神经干细胞被视为治疗神经系统疾病很有希望的新途径、新方法、新策略。所以神经干细胞不仅为神经发育研究提供了一条思路,更重要的是为临床治疗中枢神经系统疾病提供了重要的理论依据。
