我国许多比较古老的清真寺和穆斯林墓地,有用汉文书刻的有关伊斯兰教的碑石,可统称为伊斯兰汉文碑刻。汉文碑刻散布于通用汉语的全国各地,而以人为破坏相对要少的冀鲁豫京津一带居多。如北京地区,笔者搜集到的就有五、六十块。在山东泰安地区,也已搜集到三、四十块。像北京三里河清真寺等处,每处都有汉文碑刻几块至十几块,使生活在当地的穆斯林引以为荣。 Many of our ancient mosques and Muslim cemeteries, useful for Chinese-language inscriptions on Islamic tablets, can be collectively referred to as Islamic Chinese inscriptions.
