Rahouf Ramsta Architects has built a new kindergarten for the Fogh Fort Church in central Oslo. Kindergartens offer two subdivisions for children aged 1-3 and 3-6. At the project site, there are many guidelines for cultural heritage to take into account. The local buildings are dominated by residential buildings built between 1900 and 1950, but the local government demanded that kindergartens be built into contemporary buildings. Kindergarten is located in the middle of a small city park with an outdoor area, protected by a closed garden. The plan is to let the four kindergartens in kindergartens operate independently or operate as needed independently, sharing a common area and a kitchen in the center of the building. The kindergarten’s governing body is located on the upper level, separate from the children’s area.
