由世界名人、中国改革风云人物蔡光天先生创办的上海民办前进进修学院以高师资、高质量而驰名中外。1983年迄今已培养各类外语、计算机学员累计超过85万,成为全国最大的业余面授外语学院之一。1997年经国家教育部和上海市教委的批准,成为首批高等教育学历文凭考试试点院校之一。“前进”的校友中出国留学人员达数万人,不少校友已学成回国发展事业。“前进”校友为祖国“四化”出力,“前进”校友遍布全球。
Founded by Cai Guangtian, a famous person in the world and one of China’s most influential people in reform, the private part-time education institute in Shanghai is well-known both at home and abroad with its high teaching staff and high quality. Since 1983, all kinds of foreign languages have been cultivated. Over 850,000 computer trainees have accumulated and become one of the nation’s largest amateur-speaking foreign language institutes. In 1997 by the State Ministry of Education and the approval of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education, became the first batch of higher education diploma examination pilot institutions. Among the “forward” alumni, there are tens of thousands of people studying abroad, and many alumni have already learned to go back to their cause of development. “Forward” alumni contribute to the “four modernizations” of the motherland, and “forward” alumni are spread all over the world.
