读者工作是衡量图书馆全部工作质量高低的一个重要标准和组成部分。当今的高等学校要获得任何无愧于“成就”二字的结果,必须要有新型的图书馆与教学、科研进行最佳的配合才有可能实现。教师在课堂上所讲授的课时要大大压缩,选修课的比例逐步增多,学生大部分知识结构的建立,能力的培养将在图书馆完成。在这种形势下我们强调读者工作的重要性是非常必要的。对这个问题的认识程度直接关系着整个图书馆实现其职能和发挥其重大作用等众多问
The work of readers is an important criterion and component for measuring the quality of all library work. Today’s colleges and universities must obtain any results that are worthy of the word “achievement.” It must be possible to have a new type of library that best cooperates with teaching and research. The teaching hours taught by teachers in the classroom must be greatly reduced, the proportion of elective courses gradually increased, and the establishment of most of the students’ knowledge structure and ability training will be completed in the library.
