1982年8月底至10月底,我参加了江西赣州地区林业科学研究所组织的马尾松高产脂优树调查,全区共选出了胸径25~40厘米,产脂力为15克/10厘米侧沟长,相对产脂力超过对照木平均值2.5倍以上者有57株,绝对产脂力为10—15克,相对产脂力为2—2.5倍者125株。我们还发现日产量高达500克以上的马尾松,可见我国江南有些高产脂力的马尾松并不亚于湿地松,在某些方面,它比湿地松更优越。因为湿地松的种植要求土层肥厚,挖穴1米见方,还要施肥、抚育……。而我们现在所选的马尾松一般都是飞籽成林,系自然生长,即是人工种植的也不过是挖一锄头插棵苗,而且一般都是种在水土流
