文章认为在本届大选中，基民盟和社民党在竞选态势上基本势均力敌，但基民盟稍占上风，竞选的胜负还取决于中间选民的态度及传统政党中的＂自由主义者＂的取向；自民党的竞选态度更是举足轻重。
The article holds that CDU and SPD are basically evenly matched in their election campaign. However, the CDU has the upper hand.
