美国新英格兰地区苹果栽培面积为24,000公顷。其中主栽品种旭的栽培面积超过58%。目前,该区苹果生产正发生着巨大变化,而以品种和砧木的变化更明显。促成这些变化的主要原因有两个:一是禁止使用B_9来防止采前落果,使用B_9能使旭的采收期由2周延长至4周,而不使用B_9,在2周内采收一个品种的大量果实是困难的。这使得栽培者不得不通过寻求不同的品种和砧木来解决。二是公众对农药使用的关注,迫使采用抗病品种,以减少农药的用量。
New England area apple cultivation area of 24,000 hectares. Among them, cultivated area of main cultivar Asahi exceeded 58%. Currently, Apple production in the area is undergoing tremendous changes, while changes in varieties and rootstocks are more pronounced. There are two main reasons contributing to these changes: one is to prohibit the use of B_9 to prevent the falling of fruit before harvest, and the use of B_9 to extend the harvest of Asahi from two weeks to four weeks instead of using B_9 and one within two weeks Large variety of fruits is difficult. This has forced growers to find solutions by finding different varieties and rootstocks. Second, the public concern about the use of pesticides, forcing the use of resistant varieties, in order to reduce the amount of pesticides.
