古洋州,今陕西洋县,世代流传着一种颇为古朴的春正礼俗,谓之扫五穷。所谓扫五穷者,驱除五种穷鬼,亦即五方邪祟也。实乃周秦祓(礻虚)之变种,汉唐送穷之遗风,哑队勾送之残存。查其组织体制,系生(哪吒)、旦(毛女)、丑(土地)、杂(猿猴)、净(或末,门神)五种角色之装扮,哑队乐舞之实例;见其表现形式,为锣鼓喧阗声中之巡村索室,驱除群厉;考其源流沿革,乃三代祓(礻虚)祭“祓彗”在汉唐宋元间的发展变化;究其主要特色,
