The National Symposium on Phytochemistry and Value Chemical Taxonomy was presided over by Phytochemical Committee of Chinese Botanical Society and held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province on May 16-18, 1990. The main contents of the conference include: research on chemical components and useful components of plants; the relationship between chemical composition and plant system evolution; the future development trend of phytochemistry in China; and the role of phytochemistry in the national economic construction of our country. Delegates attending the meeting came from 33 orders in 20 provinces and cities nationwide
