At 2330 on July 17, 1958, there was an extraordinary flood of 21,000 seconds on the mouth of the Yellow River’s Huayuankou. The water level reached 94.39 meters, 9 centimeters more than the 1933 grand flood. The flood of the Yellow River is the largest flood since liberation and the largest flood of the Yellow River since 1933. In the lower reaches of the Yellow River, the water level of this flood generally exceeded the guaranteed water level. In High Village, the water level was 62.96 meters, exceeding the guaranteed water level of 0.38 meters.
