1980年7月,我们在开展《油松种子园经营技术研究》课题的同时,对全地区的油松种子园建设情况进行了初步调查。现将调查结果及对今后工作的意见整理如下。一、种子园现状选择优树,建立种子园,是当前国内外实现林木良种化的一条主要途径。为了逐步作到用良种育苗造林,提高造林质量,加速绿化步伐,宝鸡地区从1974年开始建立林木良种繁育基地,开展了油松选优和种子园营建工作。到目前为止,已有八渡,固关、营头和黄牛铺等林场共选出油松优树313株,建立嫁接种子园569亩,实生种子园123.12亩,优树汇集区30亩。曹家河等林场也正在进行建园的准备工作。
