Preface 1983 is the year in which the lower reaches of the Yellow River have seen much water for the third consecutive year since 1981 in the lower reaches of the Yellow River. The characteristics of water and sediment in the flood season are: juicy, less sand, more and less flood peak, long duration of water and low sediment concentration.
