面对教育思想、教育体制、教育手段和教育方法的全面变革,在现代教育技术的作用下,中小学图书馆在馆藏文献载体、图书馆服务手段、图书馆馆员自身素质等方面发生了明显的变化,这一变化使中小学图书馆成为学校教师继续教育和学生素质教育不可或缺的阵地。中小学图书馆在教育创新中的地位日渐凸显出来。一、中小学图书馆文献载体发生质的变化以计算机技术为先导的信息技术迅速发展,使信息的存贮、处理和传递发生了质的飞跃。信息技术在多数中小学图书馆的应用,使中小学图书馆馆藏数量不足、图书品种单一的矛盾得到了初步的缓解。在网络环境下,网络信息资源在整个中小学图书馆馆藏资源的比例不断上升,使得图书馆在馆藏文献载体、馆藏结构和馆藏质量方面产生了深刻的变化。
