通过聚焦于世界一流的奢侈品供给地——伦敦,本文探讨了奢侈品行业对于城市创造力以及经济能力的贡献。伦敦奢侈品行业的发达,被认为是伦敦城市政治、经济、社会、文化等特征多方面沉淀及财富创造的一个结果。然而,也有人主张奢侈品行业不仅仅是得益于伦敦经济的成功,也为伦敦在创意经济时代保持世界一流城市的地位作出了贡献。因此,正如Sombart(1967)将资本主义经济体系的发展归因于18世纪的奢侈品需求,在21世纪如伦敦等全球城市经济繁荣的环境下,奢侈品行业一直在资本主义维稳方面起到举足轻重的作用。
Focusing on London, a world-class luxury supply, this article explores the contribution of the luxury goods industry to urban creativity and economic capabilities. The development of the luxury industry in London is considered as a result of the manifold deposits and wealth creation of London’s political, economic, social and cultural features. However, others argue that the luxury goods industry has contributed not only to London’s economic success but also to London’s status as a world-class city in a creative economy. Thus, just as Sombart (1967) attributed the development of a capitalist economy to luxury goods in the 18th century, the luxury goods industry has played a decisive role in the maintenance of capitalism in the global economic boom of the 21st century such as London Role.
