在中国漫长历史长河中,以茨坪为中心的井冈山区,向来没有独立的行政建制身份。她有时和其他地区一起统属于永新县,有时和其他地区一起统属于遂川县,有时又被宁冈、遂川、永新等周边各县分而治之。中华人民共和国成立后,井冈山迎来了新生。1950年,井冈山特别区在茨坪成立。这是井冈山独立行政建制的开始。此后,因其红色革命摇篮的地位,井冈山的行政建制级别越来越高,管辖的范围越来越大,且随着共和国的巨变而不断被调整。
In the long history of China, the Jinggangshan area centered on Ciping has never had an independent administrative status. Sometimes she and other areas together belong to Yongxin County, and sometimes together with other areas belonging to Suichuan County, and sometimes by Ning Gang, Suichuan, Yongxin and other surrounding counties divide and rule. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Jinggangshan ushered in a new life. In 1950, Jinggangshan Special Zone was established in Ciping. This is the beginning of Jinggangshan independent administrative system. Since then, because of its status as the cradle of the red revolution, Jinggangshan has become more and more administratively established. Its jurisdiction is more and more extensive and is constantly being adjusted as the Republic changes.
