The sensitivity and statistical analysis of the bearing capacity of a portal frame are given. The typical stability problems involving two single-ply column systems are discussed. The elements of the system interact with each other and the random imperfections will affect the bearing capacity. Sobol sensitivity analysis was used to study the interactional factors. The Sobol sensitivity analysis is applied to distinguish the effects of the major inputs of random defects and their high-order interactions on the bearing capacity. According to the test results, most of the defects were considered. The Latin hypercube sampling method was used to simulate the initial defect. Geometric nonlinear solutions provide numerical solutions. The beam element is used to mesh the frame. Two kinds of boundary conditions are considered for the column of steel frame. The relationship between the design value of bearing capacity and the length coefficient of column is analyzed.
