从严治党是马列主义、毛泽东思想的建党原则。从当前来说,从严治党是经受执政地位和改革开放的考验的需要,是为了使党更好地担负起领导建设有中国特色社会主义的历史使命。从严治党,应正确地处理好以下关系:
Strict administration of the party is the founding principle of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought. From the current situation, strictly controlling the party is the test of being in power and reform and opening up.
