Recently, the Swiss yarn manufacturer Hermann Buhler AG became the first company in the world to pass STeP’s sustainable textile manufacturing certification. Serge Rolle, CEO of TESTEX AG, Swiss Textile Testing Co., Ltd., awarded the company a certificate. The STeP Sustainable Textile Certification, a new certification system launched by the International Association of Eco-Friendly Textile in Zurich, Switzerland, provides a modular analysis of environmentally responsible and socially responsible businesses in the textile production chain.
