From August 7 to 12 of this year, at the invitation of the National Construction Committee, the People’s Government of Shandong Province and the China Architecture Society, more than 40 construction experts, professors, and relevant leaders and comrades gathered in Taian, Shandong, and discussed on-site construction of the Taishan Mountain Aerial Tramway. The construction of the Taishan Mountain to visit the aerial ropeway was proposed by the central authorities according to the needs of tourism development. In June 1978, Shandong Province commissioned the Design Institute of Beijing Nonferrous Metals Design Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgy. The hospital successively considered four programs, and finally chose Xiangshan Peak from Zhongtianmen to the east of Nantianmen.
