Survivin is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein gene family (IAP), expressed in normal fetal formation, while widely expressed in human tumors. In the process of tumor cell proliferation and development, the regulation of apoptosis may play a decisive role, but also have a great impact on tumor progression. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression of Survivin in osteosarcoma cells and to evaluate the prognostic value. 40 cases of osteosarcoma specimens from 14 females, 26 males, mean age 23 years (7 to 68 years). Specimens were fixed with formalin and embedded in paraffin. All cases were confirmed by biopsy and targeted adjuvant chemotherapy and hand
