The bill establishing the permanent partnership of the U.S.-China PNTR (PNTR) has been passed by the U.S. Congress and signed by President Bill Clinton as a law. This concludes the annual debate in the United States: whether to grant China’s “Most Favored Nation” treatment. It will be good for both countries, because now business can go hand in hand. While PNTR is performing its formalities in Parliament, another panel of parliamentary counterparts on the other side of the Potomac River is studying the details of AMT Pavilion at China’s CIMT 2001.
