Due to their similar forest characteristics and their quick-growing and trunk-straight advantages, they are used to create large-scale artificial timber forests and develop rapidly. According to incomplete statistics, larch wood volume in Northeast China accounted for 39% of the total volume of northeast softwood. Larch plantations in Fushun Prefecture have developed to 145000ha, accounting for 73% of the total plantation area in the region.
