高温硬度计是测量材料在高温下硬度的试验仪器。材料在某一温度下的硬度,和材料在该温度下的强度,塑性有一定的关系,而且在一定程度上决定了材料在此温度下的耐磨性能。所以,用高温硬度计测定材料的高温硬度就成了研究材料高温性能的常用仪器。一般的高温硬度计,由于使用的温度比较高(1000℃以上),都需要有一个能达到高真空的真空室。至使设备变得很复杂,造价昂贵。加上保养维护困难,操作复杂,所以国内能正常使用的高温硬度计为数不多,给科研、生产带来一定的困难。
